Plan now for April 26 – it’s national “Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.” It provides us all, both parents and our coworkers, with an opportunity to show young people the value of an education and the promise of a rewarding career when you put in the work in at school and life. Through our longstanding relationship with the YWCA of Greenville, we have seen firsthand the impact a mentoring relationship can have, particularly on the lives and futures of young women. Take a day to introduce your child, neighbor’s child or a young person in your community to your place of work, and let them know you believe they can achieve anything.

As #EarthDay approaches, we are proud to tell the stories of our clients who are dedicated to environmental responsibility during #EarthWeek and throughout the year.
One example is SYNNEX, a global FORTUNE 500 IT distribution company with operations based in South Carolina. SYNNEX is a dedicated leader in the IT industry when it comes to sustainability and takes part in Facebook’s Open Compute Project, an effort to build the most energy efficient data centers in the world through SYNNEX subsidiary Hyve Solutions.
To do our part, we recycle our laser cartridges through Cartridge World, another client dedicated to environmental responsibility. It’s such an easy and cost effective step to take by making the choice to use recycled toner cartridges. Few business owners realize that it takes about one gallon of oil to create a new cartridge – recycling is not only easier, it’s also economical.
It’s a great week to take a moment to recognize the companies you do business with every day for their commitment to the environment, and for making an investment in sustainability programs that benefit us all in the long run.
